What it’s like in New York City (Corona Virus sounds better than COVID to me)

These streets I love

still streets I love they

are empty quiet except for lines

at Trader Joes lines at the bakery

bread and cookies and Trader Joes

I too will go outside in the rain after my

at home yoga class after my poem and

500 words of a story after I pick a book

to read my library books are not due now

after I read a good poem by Pablo Neruda

about All this after I try to write one of my own.

Let me tell you why I'm here, and why I hope you'll join me. I am here to poem, to play with words, to tell stories when I can, and to ask you for yours. Words are what I love, how I see, and what I say. Words are how I know my life, and how I find my friends. I'm here to ask you to join me. Right here. To send me your stories, and your poems. And to read mine when you can.
