We’re in the Country for a few Days (COVID )

Another world right here

almost open again although there are masks

life is the same incredible May bubble

every single thing more beautiful

than before more beautiful than ever possible

to remember: white lilacs, black locust trees,

granddaughter doing cartwheels and splits

sing songs from Zombies 2 and we all

eat dinner on the porch  One of Those Dinners

chicken and ribs asparagus from a local farmer

here this is all that’s real right now.

Let me tell you why I'm here, and why I hope you'll join me. I am here to poem, to play with words, to tell stories when I can, and to ask you for yours. Words are what I love, how I see, and what I say. Words are how I know my life, and how I find my friends. I'm here to ask you to join me. Right here. To send me your stories, and your poems. And to read mine when you can.
