We will go to the creek today (COVID)

In a secret creek Thomas showed  Noah

yesterday we won’t tell anyone

where it is  every day as long as we can

no matter what else happens we will find

a creek, a beautiful creek, and look for salamanders

and frogs and walk into the water and swim

if it’s deep enough and if it’s not deep enough

we’ll just sit.

Let me tell you why I'm here, and why I hope you'll join me. I am here to poem, to play with words, to tell stories when I can, and to ask you for yours. Words are what I love, how I see, and what I say. Words are how I know my life, and how I find my friends. I'm here to ask you to join me. Right here. To send me your stories, and your poems. And to read mine when you can.

  1. Oh, how lovely to have a secret creek. How I wish I had one…
I remember a creek in Potter Valley. I found a water snake.
My father said “ PUT IT DOWN” in that father voice that I knew meant
You are in danger, do it now.
The snake swam away and I watched.

Your poems are wonderful and inspirational!
