We Are in Sarasota

and there is sun impossible not to be

happier New York cold and cold

we left all our coats in the car  Mark’s house  in the middle

of moss and trees and then there is water.   This morning

Ted came by to see Mark and he read

Mark’s FODMAP list outloud FODMAP means

fermentable sugars which  contribute to gas

these are the foods we shouldn’t eat said Ted the stranger

who’d been in investment in Canada

No Apples No Pears No Watermelons

recited Ted in a loud voice and I was happy because

Ted and Sarasota and his food recitation are a poem

Esther Cohen
Let me tell you why I'm here, and why I hope you'll join me. I am here to poem, to play with words, to tell stories when I can, and to ask you for yours. Words are what I love, how I see, and what I say. Words are how I know my life, and how I find my friends. I'm here to ask you to join me. Right here. To send me your stories, and your poems. And to read mine when you can.
