Vote Vote Vote Vote Vote (COVID)

Today we will see what happens.  Some friends

write posts of  despair. Not me.  I see a sea change

candidates not afraid of the word

progressive not afraid of Goldman Sachs wanting change

economic disparity social services prison systems

they know about restorative justice know about health care and jobs

most did not go to Yale University  want to end what seems

systemic what seems entrenched  want to make a more

just system.  They want us all to vote.

Let me tell you why I'm here, and why I hope you'll join me. I am here to poem, to play with words, to tell stories when I can, and to ask you for yours. Words are what I love, how I see, and what I say. Words are how I know my life, and how I find my friends. I'm here to ask you to join me. Right here. To send me your stories, and your poems. And to read mine when you can.

  1. My husband and I voted by mail in ballot for the first time. We both voted for Progressive candidates !!

  2. Yale U. is where a progressive relative attends. It’s not all Buckleys anymore. Get hip. or hep. or whatever it is.

  3. Amen! And every eligible voter in every state needs to be able to vote without risking health and life or standing in line for hours and hours.

  4. Right on!

(I was asked to use at least 15 characters, so)

    Right on, right on!

I agree. There is a possibility of a sea change. I even heard perennial pessimist 92 year old Prof. Noam Chomsky say that in a Zoom conversation two weeks ago.
