Unbridled Grandiosity, or Marbles (COVID)

I qualify for medical marijuana because of

Chronic Sleep Problems so after my appropriate forms were

filled out I had a telephone interview with Rubin

New York State marijuana pharmacist to determine whether I am

of Sound Enough Mind to receive the treatment which has

the potential continue my Unbridled Grandiosity Dreams.

Our phone date was Friday at 3.  Rubin’s qualifying question was

What Is The First Thing You Will Do When the Pandemic Ends

and I said I’d meet friends for drinks and dinner and maybe even

a movie in a movie theater and that was sufficient to certify me.

I asked Rubin what he would do and he began from a different place.

I’m 53 said Rubin and live in Westchester.  We have

three daughters and I’ve never liked it here and now they’re out

of school so the minute we can, we can leave. Go somewhere  cheaper.

Sounds to me like you too qualify in the Sound Mind

category I said to Rubin.  Absolutely he said.

You’ve got to have your marbles to know

if other people have theirs.

Let me tell you why I'm here, and why I hope you'll join me. I am here to poem, to play with words, to tell stories when I can, and to ask you for yours. Words are what I love, how I see, and what I say. Words are how I know my life, and how I find my friends. I'm here to ask you to join me. Right here. To send me your stories, and your poems. And to read mine when you can.

  1. Sleep problems. When I had the worst ones, I got out of bed and ran behind the school where I ran and ran till I nearly dropped. Then I went to bed and slept. Pot might be better…or writing more poems.
