Two Days After Thanksgiving Poem

Mr. Rogers movie with Tom Hanks on West 57th Street

modern theater, cynical clientele and not only that,

it was Thanksgiving some in the audience

psychiatrists, lawyers, people with graduate degrees,

and there we were looking at an actor play

a TV star who was Christian, Republican,

he was not Bernie or Chesa Boudin and we were

grateful for his kindness, his love,  hopeful

that what he knows is true, that we’re here

all of us to help each other, and to learn to love.

Let me tell you why I'm here, and why I hope you'll join me. I am here to poem, to play with words, to tell stories when I can, and to ask you for yours. Words are what I love, how I see, and what I say. Words are how I know my life, and how I find my friends. I'm here to ask you to join me. Right here. To send me your stories, and your poems. And to read mine when you can.

  1. Imagine a world where all people loved each other regardless of political, religious, racial, economic, etc differences. Accepted each other as they are with love and without the feeling of needing to change them. What a beautiful world that would be! ❤️
