Thank You

Thank you
is hard
to say.
We should be
able to
say thank
you all the time
alongside
I love you.
There is no love
without thank you.
We are afraid
sometimes
afraid
to say that we
would not be
the same
not have the same
good life
if you
weren’t there
without you
we would miss you
and when you
are here with us
what we want to say
over and over
although we rarely do
is thank you.

Esther Cohen
Let me tell you why I'm here, and why I hope you'll join me. I am here to poem, to play with words, to tell stories when I can, and to ask you for yours. Words are what I love, how I see, and what I say. Words are how I know my life, and how I find my friends. I'm here to ask you to join me. Right here. To send me your stories, and your poems. And to read mine when you can.

  1. I say thank you all the time. What’s really missing is “you’re welcome.” “No problem” is the new you’re welcome. When did that happen? Out of defiance and manners, I’m still a “you’re welcome” kind of guy. Happy Thanksgiving.
