After  Jeffrey sat next to a man

at Artie’s deli,  familiar

looking man at the table

next to us,  he leaned

over to me Jeffrey did to say

that man is my enemy

he’s an eye doctor

twenty years ago

sold me a pair of

Armani prescription glasses

I paid a lot for those frames

he put the lenses in upside

reading on top can you believe

it should I stand on my head

to read a book I asked him

you must be kidding if you think

I’ll redo those glasses he told me

imagine that not even

I’m sorry but he did

redo the glasses  the second time

this is a true story why would

I tell you if it weren’t the second time

he made the same mistake again.

Let me tell you why I'm here, and why I hope you'll join me. I am here to poem, to play with words, to tell stories when I can, and to ask you for yours. Words are what I love, how I see, and what I say. Words are how I know my life, and how I find my friends. I'm here to ask you to join me. Right here. To send me your stories, and your poems. And to read mine when you can.
