Saturday in Summer (COVID)

Still August still COVID still the same

president but but but this week there were Democrats

and Democrats and we all said the word hope

one thousand times and these days are warm

and summer and we ate outside and saw friends

and ate outside again and Peter gave me earrings

and a small silver spoon and an old Mexican pin

and we will walk and walk and have more Negronis

and sit somewhere as beautiful as possible and say

the word hope again.

Esther Cohen
Let me tell you why I'm here, and why I hope you'll join me. I am here to poem, to play with words, to tell stories when I can, and to ask you for yours. Words are what I love, how I see, and what I say. Words are how I know my life, and how I find my friends. I'm here to ask you to join me. Right here. To send me your stories, and your poems. And to read mine when you can.
