Minor holiday
for so many years I
played Queen Esther
reading the first part I wrote
Beth Israel Synagogue Center
in Derby, Connecticut. How
life has changed. Today
for Purim the story will be
GET OUT Peele comedy about
race and race politics
a movie theater in Harlem
with the kids I will be
Another Esther there

  1. My bubby was born on Purim. She named her first child, Esther. That was my very dear grandmother. Her first child was Ruth., my mother, and I was her first child.
