ON BEING: Passover, Easter, Liberation, Spring

Dear EVERYONE, Matthew and I did an end of Passover exhibit for ON BEING, for the close of the holiday, and for what liberation might look like, and might be..

If you can write a word or two or three in the comments, that would be great.

Esther Cohen
Let me tell you why I'm here, and why I hope you'll join me. I am here to poem, to play with words, to tell stories when I can, and to ask you for yours. Words are what I love, how I see, and what I say. Words are how I know my life, and how I find my friends. I'm here to ask you to join me. Right here. To send me your stories, and your poems. And to read mine when you can.

  1. I think I commented on another page, too. Mainly I wanted to say that I really liked the photos and the poems. I love that you are writing about this celebration of community, and I especially love (as a non-Jew) that you are focusing on seven days of Passover (isn’t it supposed to be 8?) and that the food isn’t all the same traditional seder food (which doesn’t do much for me, frankly). Mostly I love the photos and the people’s stories which are told within the poems.

  2. For the second year in a row, I’ve used your Passover poems as my reading selection at a friend’s seder. Our friend invites about 12 other mostly unrelated friends of hers from different parts of her life. Seventh Night was particularly meaningful. Thank you. Hope your passover was meaningful too.
