One of Everything, or Maybe Two

Some people have one of everything

maybe two.  One ring on a finger called The Ring Finger

Every day I change rings and they

are on four fingers sometimes five thin rings each finger every day

change my earrings sometimes twice a day some friends

have a finite number  their pairs

are all in Good Taste I had an aunt Bessie who talked

about Good Taste she meant navy blue Bessie only

wore gold in her ears no silver ever my mother

a gypsy from Grand Forks North Dakota didn’t have one day

without earrings she had drawers full.  When she died

I offered them to her friends.

Some  friends told me which pairs they wanted.

Let me tell you why I'm here, and why I hope you'll join me. I am here to poem, to play with words, to tell stories when I can, and to ask you for yours. Words are what I love, how I see, and what I say. Words are how I know my life, and how I find my friends. I'm here to ask you to join me. Right here. To send me your stories, and your poems. And to read mine when you can.
