even Chomsky who knows so many words

used the word hopeful (more than once.)

Esther Cohen
Let me tell you why I'm here, and why I hope you'll join me. I am here to poem, to play with words, to tell stories when I can, and to ask you for yours. Words are what I love, how I see, and what I say. Words are how I know my life, and how I find my friends. I'm here to ask you to join me. Right here. To send me your stories, and your poems. And to read mine when you can.

  1. Even I know Noam Chomsky, Facebook Poet! I hope the polls keep showing Biden ahead–as much as I believe in polls. I hope they depress the hell outta the bastard so he can’t speak to his base. Let him start talking to himself and running in the streets naked.

  2. So I have to tell this story, even if it’s not a poem. One day I was visiting my uncle Shalom Altman, at the time the leading expert on Jewish musicology in the States, at his office in Gratz College. He’s the one who translated “And Every Man Neath His Vine and Fig Tree” that appeared in “The People’s Song Book”. I saw that the sign in the office next to him said “Prof. William Chomsky”. I asked “is he related to…?” Of course, Prof. Chomsky, a noted Hebrew scholar, is Noam’s father. Where do you think he got the Hebrew name Noam from?!
