No Matter What Happens There Are Poems (COVID)

Yesterday, epiphany for Peter’s family

they celebrate by eating and so do I

life always happens

yesterday January 6 we watched D.C.

trampled did the President commit incitement to riot

a federal offense yesterday  we sat in our usual

spots glued not to a good movie but to the nightmare of this

last thirteen days of an administration that should be in jail

yesterday we could not stop watching although I made

good dinner and still read a good poem,

Esther Cohen
Let me tell you why I'm here, and why I hope you'll join me. I am here to poem, to play with words, to tell stories when I can, and to ask you for yours. Words are what I love, how I see, and what I say. Words are how I know my life, and how I find my friends. I'm here to ask you to join me. Right here. To send me your stories, and your poems. And to read mine when you can.
