Miracles: A Young Man named Divina in a Japanese Book Store

across from Bryant Park he was buying a children’s book about Grace Jones

asked about my bracelet mummy beads from Egyptin 1978  before he was born

I bought the bracelet from a man named Kassim who

said it belonged to his painter aunt   told me that

so I would like the bracelet better  young man

in a Japanese book store named Divina said tell me about

the bracelet I explained about Kassim’s phantom aunt and Divina

explained that when he moved to New York from a small town in Maryland

he auditioned for Aladdin actually got the part  someone asked  at his audition

why he moved to New York  he made up a long story about a grandmother

in Alabama who’d always wanted to sing

then Divina sang Amazing Grace for me
