Sit as upright as you like and if you prefer
to put your legs up on the table or to lie in bed
or on the floor that’s OK too. Don’t worry that your spine
doesn’t look the way it’s supposed to in some
meditation video. Today we are going to forget
about body parts. They are only body parts.
If they don’t work the way they’re supposed to
let’s say your knees hurt knees hurt
that’s just how it is or maybe you can’t hear sometimes
especially in loud restaurants and you can’t read lips either
you might have cataracts but remember when you
are breathing in and out that you are not a car which is
only parts after all a car is a car and you are a person
and if you’re looking for a mantra to help with your breathing
you might try I am Not a Car I am Not a Car and then maybe
your worries about body parts might even go away.
