Last Night’s Writing Class

we talked about forgiveness women in the room

all did time called it the Injustice System

139 years the cumulative number for years they’d been in jail

courageous funny embraced one another they each brought

food for us all what they learned

we are none of us the worst acts we’ve committed

safer when we are together we spend a lifetime

learning forgiveness, and then love.

Let me tell you why I'm here, and why I hope you'll join me. I am here to poem, to play with words, to tell stories when I can, and to ask you for yours. Words are what I love, how I see, and what I say. Words are how I know my life, and how I find my friends. I'm here to ask you to join me. Right here. To send me your stories, and your poems. And to read mine when you can.

  1. Yes indeed
I enjoyed all and felt United with their pain, sadness, joy and love.
Most of all being and sharing with you and my sister has opened my eyes to my own healing. We sometimes walk in pride and hide pain. We shy away from things that affect our lives, burying them in the shadows of our souls because it’s easier than talking about it.
There’s things I don’t clearly remember but I know it’s there…I think this group will help my emancipation and healing.
Thanks for having me as part of this wonderful venture.
