In New York Some People Start Voting Today (COVID)

And I should write a poem about voting

and how we  have to vote

we who read poems

I have to believe this true or not

we who write poems and we who read them

we who don’t write poems or read them either

we who live on this crazy earth  know

what voting means and how we absolutely can’t have

this President any more and for that to happen every

single one of us  still in the majority

another four years unbearable

and so we do Every Single Thing We Can Think of Now

to make sure that we the majority of us

we are still the majority we want him gone

in jail or in Russia and We the Big We Will Vote.

Let me tell you why I'm here, and why I hope you'll join me. I am here to poem, to play with words, to tell stories when I can, and to ask you for yours. Words are what I love, how I see, and what I say. Words are how I know my life, and how I find my friends. I'm here to ask you to join me. Right here. To send me your stories, and your poems. And to read mine when you can.
