I Am a Lawyer (Unbridled Gradiosity) COVID

Although I never wanted to be a lawyer

I argued a lot but I never wanted to go to law school

parents thought it was a good idea

last night in my unbridled grandiosity sleeping pill dream

I was a lawyer defending women in prison  always wore

a weird green suit case after case

of women who shouldn’t have been in prison

women were wonderful and I was surprisingly convincing

in my weird green suit and every single case I won.

Let me tell you why I'm here, and why I hope you'll join me. I am here to poem, to play with words, to tell stories when I can, and to ask you for yours. Words are what I love, how I see, and what I say. Words are how I know my life, and how I find my friends. I'm here to ask you to join me. Right here. To send me your stories, and your poems. And to read mine when you can.
