Home from California and Thursday and a Poem

Orthodox Boris drove us to JFK

Ukraine Israel Borough Park father of 3 boys

the 24 year old isn’t married he tells us

his mother Adina worries

I’m an American my son says

Boris is a gentle man

driving 38 years he drives wherever he lives

you should see

those drivers in Israel he laughs

and says California you are going to California everyone

who gets into my car is going somewhere else.

Let me tell you why I'm here, and why I hope you'll join me. I am here to poem, to play with words, to tell stories when I can, and to ask you for yours. Words are what I love, how I see, and what I say. Words are how I know my life, and how I find my friends. I'm here to ask you to join me. Right here. To send me your stories, and your poems. And to read mine when you can.
