How We Find Each Other, or the Unpredictable Nature of Where, or Next Door

I’ve been collecting these stories all my life.

Julia C. Steele met Rebecca McGrath inthe

Ansonia Public library.  1960 and that was that said Julia C. Steele,

a dour woman who wore aprons during the day

but she took them off for Rebecca McGrath and one day

after a few years they sold the house next door, moved

to Mexico and Mark moved in.

Mark, divorced ex-drummer of Bruce Springsteen,

he was Jewish, Mark met Ida at the local

Dairy Queen they both liked Brown Bonnets

if I had to guess I’d say they’re all still together now.

Let me tell you why I'm here, and why I hope you'll join me. I am here to poem, to play with words, to tell stories when I can, and to ask you for yours. Words are what I love, how I see, and what I say. Words are how I know my life, and how I find my friends. I'm here to ask you to join me. Right here. To send me your stories, and your poems. And to read mine when you can.
