My Eyebrows Don’t Hurt, Kay said this morning, or Dancing

Delores has no kidney function  her best friend Annie

broke her hip Annie was picking out

a dress for them to go dancing Delores says Annie

has rooms of dresses her husband lives next door no room

for him their favorite Irish Bar was opening for the season

they dance with Annie’s oxygen tank they dance in Annie’s wheelchair

they dance two beautiful women still beautiful always beautiful

Kay said this morning she is 91

My Eyebrows Don’t Hurt and Kay dances too.

Let me tell you why I'm here, and why I hope you'll join me. I am here to poem, to play with words, to tell stories when I can, and to ask you for yours. Words are what I love, how I see, and what I say. Words are how I know my life, and how I find my friends. I'm here to ask you to join me. Right here. To send me your stories, and your poems. And to read mine when you can.
