Evidence, or Is It Ever Too Cold to Write a Poem

The answer is no, even though

today the 14th of May  too cold without a coat

an entire closet of coats I didn’t give them away

too many coats  for anyone  a few days ago

on 37th Street I ran into Zac Posen’s Uncle

designer from Iran who said I have a free coat

for you great material I bought the fabric in Italy

a sample no one ordered it too blue for them

not too blue for you said Zac Posen’s Uncle and I

tried it on long blue coat he said You Could Wear It Right Now

Anywhere and I asked him if he thought it was ever too cold for a poem.

  1. Too cold for a poem… I too longed for a coat while visiting New York …
    Was warmed by the hospitality of the people…. the cold will be left behind, but the warm feeling in my heart will remain. Thank you Esther❤️
