Evidence, or Is It Ever Too Cold to Write a Poem

The answer is no, even though

today the 14th of May  too cold without a coat

an entire closet of coats I didn’t give them away

too many coats  for anyone  a few days ago

on 37th Street I ran into Zac Posen’s Uncle

designer from Iran who said I have a free coat

for you great material I bought the fabric in Italy

a sample no one ordered it too blue for them

not too blue for you said Zac Posen’s Uncle and I

tried it on long blue coat he said You Could Wear It Right Now

Anywhere and I asked him if he thought it was ever too cold for a poem.

Let me tell you why I'm here, and why I hope you'll join me. I am here to poem, to play with words, to tell stories when I can, and to ask you for yours. Words are what I love, how I see, and what I say. Words are how I know my life, and how I find my friends. I'm here to ask you to join me. Right here. To send me your stories, and your poems. And to read mine when you can.

  1. Too cold for a poem… I too longed for a coat while visiting New York …
Was warmed by the hospitality of the people…. the cold will be left behind, but the warm feeling in my heart will remain. Thank you Esther❤️
