Early Morning in Delhi

Dogs and Santa Claus on January 7

we are leaving on the 5 AM train for a town

whose name I can’t pronounce a town where we will

look and do what we can to try to understand

decide what matters today

in a place we don’t know a place we might belong

Let me tell you why I'm here, and why I hope you'll join me. I am here to poem, to play with words, to tell stories when I can, and to ask you for yours. Words are what I love, how I see, and what I say. Words are how I know my life, and how I find my friends. I'm here to ask you to join me. Right here. To send me your stories, and your poems. And to read mine when you can.

  1. Thank you! We each need to resolve to “get out of our comfort zone” engage with people not in our own little “echo chambers”. Meeting with others of a different ilk and respectfully discuss our differences and our similarities. After all we all bleed red. Peace to you!
