Dr. Wang

Dr. Wang’s office
candidate for
My New Doctor
big building
on West 53rd.
I called
at 9 AM.
He answered.
Come for
a Tune Up
he said. Acu
puncture. I went
at 2. He has
a comb over. There’s
nothing inherently wrong
with comb overs
just disconcerting.
His office was full.
We sat together.
He is not
a talker. Needles
were what
I needed. His pre
scription: no lamb,
ginger, citrus, or
crackers. Come back
he said. When? I asked
him. We were not
compatible talkers.
One week or two or three
or in a month he said.
OK I told him.
Maybe.

Let me tell you why I'm here, and why I hope you'll join me. I am here to poem, to play with words, to tell stories when I can, and to ask you for yours. Words are what I love, how I see, and what I say. Words are how I know my life, and how I find my friends. I'm here to ask you to join me. Right here. To send me your stories, and your poems. And to read mine when you can.
