Dear Pat Quinn

I’d like to submit my new

book of poems for you to consider.

Maybe reviewing.

An interview even.

I know how many books you must get.

Hundreds. Maybe thousands.

Even I who sometimes write  reviews

get a lot of books. So how can I

separate my book from your pile?

Maybe a poem like this

but what if you don’t like poems?

So many people don’t. If I

think about that too much I will

never send my book to you.

Dear Pat Quinn how is this:

maybe you’ll like my book.

And maybe not.

Yours Truly (more or less)

Esther Cohen
Let me tell you why I'm here, and why I hope you'll join me. I am here to poem, to play with words, to tell stories when I can, and to ask you for yours. Words are what I love, how I see, and what I say. Words are how I know my life, and how I find my friends. I'm here to ask you to join me. Right here. To send me your stories, and your poems. And to read mine when you can.
