Dear Esther

Some situations are not helped by explanations. Today I was going to write about the Mad Men ending (what an amazing show that is. And COCA COLA!) but then this letter arrived. Handwritten. It is a poem.

May 2015

Dear Esther,

Remember me?

I was reviewing papers
in my house which
obviously I was unwilling
to get rid of.
To be more to the current moment
(that is a real phrase)
I found some old communications
from you
so
I hope that this year
could be a time in which
we see one another again.
Though maybe not.
The summer will soon
start which would probably
make this possibility
more difficult.
In any case, it would be
great if we you and I
could say hello
either on paper
or on the ground.
Let me
hear from you.
If possible. I know
this can be
difficult.
In any case, have
a wonderful summer
and then, a
wonderful year.
and whatever, it
(some people use
the word it all the time)
has been lovely
knowing you.

Esther Cohen
Let me tell you why I'm here, and why I hope you'll join me. I am here to poem, to play with words, to tell stories when I can, and to ask you for yours. Words are what I love, how I see, and what I say. Words are how I know my life, and how I find my friends. I'm here to ask you to join me. Right here. To send me your stories, and your poems. And to read mine when you can.
