Call Me By Your Name

at the Paris Theater Andre Aciman’s beautiful book

when you’re young when you’re not young either

how we  love if we aren’t afraid

cab driver Oumar  extra u in Senegal he tells us

what he likes on Christmas Day  a Muslim

he likes  good will kind atmosphere the vibe says Oumar

drivers and passengers together most

people are good Oumar said  finished Baruch College

he is a teacher going to graduate school in a year

though he isn’t young

around this city having a chance every day

a chance to live knowing

love is right there

Let me tell you why I'm here, and why I hope you'll join me. I am here to poem, to play with words, to tell stories when I can, and to ask you for yours. Words are what I love, how I see, and what I say. Words are how I know my life, and how I find my friends. I'm here to ask you to join me. Right here. To send me your stories, and your poems. And to read mine when you can.
