Cape Breton, NS (Don’t Miss This)

Whenever I go anywhere, really anywhere, I wonder if I could actually LIVE there. Most places the answer is no. Cape Breton is yes.

We’ve only been here one day

not even one full day.  Love’s like that. Some people use

the phrase Give It Time.  I’ve always

wondered why.  Bald eagles and water

beauty and music last night  we

walked across a footbridge to the Red Shoe

for music today when I think about what life

is what life could be it’s this.  Just this.

Let me tell you why I'm here, and why I hope you'll join me. I am here to poem, to play with words, to tell stories when I can, and to ask you for yours. Words are what I love, how I see, and what I say. Words are how I know my life, and how I find my friends. I'm here to ask you to join me. Right here. To send me your stories, and your poems. And to read mine when you can.

  1. Cape Breton is my husband’s favorite place on earth. He wants to live there too! We’ve been twice, once when we first met and then we returned with our 4 kids years later. We stayed at the Keltic Lodge. I have great pics of my girls wearing kilts. Enjoy!
