Bundelkhand Riverside in Orchha

how we tell each other what we see

ancient forts a child who tells me her name is Esther

so we will be friends the day we are in Orchha

cooking class in a woman’s home ask me whatever you want

she says  married at 15 wanted more than

being married what is more I asked s work

and her daughters and now, her 14 month old son

and today in another holy place where air and singing

are together all day all night 2 am singing on the river

for what god is for what life is singing singing I don’t

know the words, not yet, for these holy sounds.

Esther Cohen
Let me tell you why I'm here, and why I hope you'll join me. I am here to poem, to play with words, to tell stories when I can, and to ask you for yours. Words are what I love, how I see, and what I say. Words are how I know my life, and how I find my friends. I'm here to ask you to join me. Right here. To send me your stories, and your poems. And to read mine when you can.
