At Writing Class Last Night

13 talented women one man too

do we need more men in class

gary is a good one

we talked about consequences does it matter

that some people laughed at the testimony a week ago

strong women always have people who say no

it’s yes that matters strong women

find ways of yes

Let me tell you why I'm here, and why I hope you'll join me. I am here to poem, to play with words, to tell stories when I can, and to ask you for yours. Words are what I love, how I see, and what I say. Words are how I know my life, and how I find my friends. I'm here to ask you to join me. Right here. To send me your stories, and your poems. And to read mine when you can.

  1. Misha was with us who was the only man in the Garrison Institute poetry workshop last weekend led by Annie Finch from The Festival of Women Writers in Hobart. For the ten women there, it was good to hear a male sensibility. More than one man might have shifted the dynamic. Misha’s voice was a blessing.
