At the Rubin Museum They Ask You to Write a Letter to the Visitors Who Come Next

about your experience  last night

we copied this exercise at our

Wednesday night Penn South Writing Class

talented  women most wearing earrings

one  man equally talented  he always wears a hat  to make him less bald

last night they brought left over snacks even a new bowl of fruit salad

we write together we are together now

community of words

about what we’d tell the next person what we’d advise

what we want to say to those who come next

keep your eyes and your heart open don’t judge

love when you can

see if you can find a writing group

Esther Cohen
Let me tell you why I'm here, and why I hope you'll join me. I am here to poem, to play with words, to tell stories when I can, and to ask you for yours. Words are what I love, how I see, and what I say. Words are how I know my life, and how I find my friends. I'm here to ask you to join me. Right here. To send me your stories, and your poems. And to read mine when you can.
