Another Apology Poem (COVID)

(Although my writing classes say that apology

is not a good idea most people didn’t likethat it isn’t the same as sorry

I still want to write another apology poem. )

Dear Friend Who Doesn’t Talk to Me Anymore

I used to think it was Only You who were at fault

that you were to blame Dear Friend whose life

went in a different direction from mine (and I

judged that direction. I still do) when I couldn’t

accept your choices I didn’t understand that I

made choices too Dear Friend who can not be my

Dear Friend any longer because of what we cannot say

because I can never fully apologize.

Let me tell you why I'm here, and why I hope you'll join me. I am here to poem, to play with words, to tell stories when I can, and to ask you for yours. Words are what I love, how I see, and what I say. Words are how I know my life, and how I find my friends. I'm here to ask you to join me. Right here. To send me your stories, and your poems. And to read mine when you can.
