And then there’s today (COVID)A

Coyotes last night though coyotes don’t seem

to belong in upstate New York  maybe we all belong

right here coyotes last night we watched

Oliver Sachs film disagreed

after not about Oliver Sachs amazing

is not amazing enough for who he was

how do you tell a story of a life like that creativity is never

one straight line  and then today another one of those who can believe

how beautiful this day is in spite

of every single thing there’s today

Let me tell you why I'm here, and why I hope you'll join me. I am here to poem, to play with words, to tell stories when I can, and to ask you for yours. Words are what I love, how I see, and what I say. Words are how I know my life, and how I find my friends. I'm here to ask you to join me. Right here. To send me your stories, and your poems. And to read mine when you can.

  1. Hi Esther,
    Thanks for the beautiful card!!
I love Oliver Sachs and can understand why a documentary would be difficult to capture his brilliance. He was a magnificent writer and the best thing to do is to read his books! I’m reading one now and one story was about a man who had Tourette’s syndrome but was a surgeon and pilot and those activities kept his tics under control. It was everyday annoyance and peculiarities that set him off.
I’d like to read every book he wrote eventually.
    Enjoy the beautiful day.
I’ve heard the coyotes at night too.
