A Thursday Now (Covid)

These days could not be

more beautiful even when this Big Unruly World,

erupts from all that was impossible then,

all that is possible now.  Meanwhile

here on this simple porch, as remarkable

as Jerusalem, facing sun when there is sun

facing the moon every single night full of what

life is if you’re very lucky, good meals, many bottles

of wine, a young child who looks you up and down,

considering carefully, before she says Grandma

you’re not too big to fit in the pool with me.

Esther Cohen
Let me tell you why I'm here, and why I hope you'll join me. I am here to poem, to play with words, to tell stories when I can, and to ask you for yours. Words are what I love, how I see, and what I say. Words are how I know my life, and how I find my friends. I'm here to ask you to join me. Right here. To send me your stories, and your poems. And to read mine when you can.
